Office of the Promotion for Affiliated Secondary School Innovation, Outreach, & Network (PASSION Office)
On January 23, 2025, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) joyfully announced the formation of the Office of “Promotion for Affiliated Secondary School Innovation, Outreach, & Network,” lovingly referred to as the PASSION Office. This heartwarming initiative, endorsed by President Lin, Chi-hung, aims to support the meaningful transformation of National Chupei Senior High School into a cherished affiliated secondary school of our university. The PASSION Office is here to ensure that we utilize our campus resources to their fullest, uphold our commitment to social responsibility, enhance the operations of the affiliated high school, foster a spirit of educational innovation, and extend our university’s positive influence in the community for everyone’s benefit.
As a first-level functional administrative unit within the university, the PASSION Office is dedicated to nurturing a strong partnership between our institution and the National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University Affiliated Chupei Senior High School (referred to as “the affiliated high school”). We are committed to adhering to all necessary laws and guidelines, including the Teacher Education Act, the Senior Secondary Education Act, and the careful regulations surrounding the process of transforming national senior high schools into affiliated institutions. By following these important frameworks, along with the Merger Contract between National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University and National Chupei Senior High School, we aim to navigate this transition responsibly.
In this exciting beginning, we are fortunate to have Vice President Chen, Yong-fu serving as our first Executive Director, with Associate Dean Chen, Ken-Zen from the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences lending his support as Deputy Executive Director. During this preparatory journey, we are grateful to have President Lin, Chi-hung as the Honorary Chairperson of the Transfer Preparation Committee, alongside Vice President Chen, Yong-fu as Deputy Chairperson. We are also delighted to count on the dedication of 12 passionate faculty members from various areas, along with representatives from the Alumni Association, who are eager to be part of this preparation committee. Many faculty, staff, and enthusiastic students are forging close bonds with Chupei Senior High School, working tirelessly to ensure a smooth transition and passionately advocating for high-quality education that benefits the Greater Hsinchu metropolitan area.
